VII JORNADAS DE FILOSOFÍA POLÍTICA - FIGURAS DE LA EMANCIPACIÓN
PRESENTACIÓN DE LAS JORNADAS:
"El Seminario de Filosofía Política de la Universidad de Barcelona (SFP-UB)presenta en las VII Jornadas Internacionales de Filosofía Política 2010 como tema de
reflexión crítica las Figuras de la Emancipación. Creemos que es un buen momento para
pensar la emancipación al hallarnos en un contexto de crisis y de retroceso de conquistas
sociales, al tiempo que de un debilitamiento del discurso político. La lucha por la
emancipación ha pasado por distintos momentos históricos tanto en el discurso como en la
práctica política, unos de auge y otros de decadencia, unas veces compañera de
revoluciones y otras silenciada por las contrarrevoluciones: y en cada uno de esos
momentos, su forma subjetiva, la propuesta de emancipación, se ha expresado en
representaciones diferentes."

OPENING OF THE JAMES CENTRE IN THE TU-DORTMUND
The 28th Juni, 100 years after the death of William James, a new centre is opening in the Technische Universität Dortmund (Germany).
EUROPEAN AND AMERICAN VALUES VI
The University of Opole (Poland) is holding this June a new edition of "European and American Values". The 6th edition is dedicated to the philosophy of William James.

CONFINES OF DEMOCRACY. THE SOCIAL PHILOSOPHY OF RICHARD BERSTEIN
The University of Castilla-La Mancha in Toledo hosted the past May a congress on the Social Philosophy of Richard J. Bernstein.
Bernstein, who was present in this event, replied himself all kind of questions and observations concerning his philosophical evolution and the most relevant philosophical problems of the present, resulting in an exciting conversational exercise between scholars of all ages, interests and nationalities.

STARTING MOVEMENT
Amb el desig i l'esperança de poder engegar el moviment en aquesta petita parcel.la de l'infinit i intrincat univers filosòfic, aquest blog dóna el seu primer pas.
Aquest petit lloc pretén recollir allò que a l'autora l'interessa de la filosofia contemporània, allò que la mou a filosofar, materials de tot tipus que puguin agitar l'interès de qui, per casualitat o fortuna, topi amb aquest indret i, en definitiva, allò aque es cou i es mou en un ampli espectre d'interessos filosòfics.
Atenent el fet que cada cop és més difícil en aquest món global i en canvi continu el romandre estàtic, també les llengües emprades reflectiran aquesta diversitat lingüística i cultural que batega en el políglot cor de la filosofia.
Emprenem, doncs, aquesta aventura en desconeguts i excitants horitzons.
Preparats, llestos... JA!!
